Frisco School of Equipping.
".......for the equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ." Ephesians 4:12
The Frisco School of Equipping is a church-based training and equipping school designed to help prepare workers for the world-wide Harvest. We believe that the training of the type of leaders needed in today's world is best done in the context of a local church/community that is committed to Biblical discipleship.
It is also our deep conviction that the great need over the next several decades will be the planting of reproducing churches around the world. We believe that the churches of tomorrow may look considerably different from those of today. These newer churches will have a heavy emphasis of living out the radical principles of Christian discipleship. These churches also will adhere to the radical principles of Biblical community (or church life) that allows and encourages the fullest expression of true discipleship. Therefore, much of the training and equipping that takes place in the school is aimed at preparing young men and women for the planting and building of such communities.
We are currently in the process of revamping the Frisco School of Equipping. While the programs we’ve offered in the past four years were fruitful, we have felt a need to re-structure them to make us more effective in reaching the world in which we live. Each of the programs we offer has a distinct purpose and requires a different level of commitment. If you have specific questions about any of the programs listed below, please contact us.
School of Discipleship
The School of Discipleship (formerly called the Missional Discipleship School and the Discipleship Immersion) is currently being revamped. Details will be forthcoming.
Biblical Studies Certificate
A Biblical Studies Certificate is offered to those who successfully complete the twelve semester classes in this program. At this time, these classes are offered on a three year rotating basis. Therefore, the shortest amount of time possible to complete the program is three years. Students in the School of Discipleship and the School of Church Planting will automatically be taking these classes. Others are welcome to take individual classes, or even take the class for non-credit (therefore forfeiting the option of earning the Certificate). The cost of each class is $50.
